    Cross-Validation Data - Cross validation is only relevant when you want to optimize/tweak your model that was trained on the training data for best performance. So for example, when we work with CART models, they have a cp parameter that impacts the complexity of the model and choosing an ideal cp parameter for your problem is not easy to do. The cross-validation process is repeated k (fold) times so that on every iteration different part is used for testing. After running the cross-validation you look at the results from each fold and wonder which classification algorithm (not any of the trained models!) is the most suitable.
